Starbucks Copycat Light Caramel Frappuccino
For those mornings when you need an extra pep in your step, my Starbucks Copycat Light Caramel Frappuccino will do the trick. But you don’t have to worry about an overload of sugar and calories, because my version is only 130 calories, compared to the whopping 350 calories you would get at the coffee shop for a grande. On top of that, you’re saving yourself some green- and you don’t even need a green apron to make it!
The original drink at Starbucks has been a popular one throughout all the years, especially with the younger crowd, and it always baffled me at how people could drink it because it’s soooo sweet! My Starbucks Copycat Light Caramel Frappuccino still hits the sweet spot, but with significantly less sugar, you don’t have to worry about the extreme sugar rush after chugging this down.
Since this a caramel drink, I could not skip out on this key ingredient. It’s ok to treat yourself, but just do it in moderation and make healthier adjustments. I still incorporate the coveted caramel swirls on the cup, and even drizzle some on top of the whipped cream! Yes, you can even have whipped cream! The drink even still has caramel syrup in it, the key sweetener, but buy reducing the number of pumps, and switching it from whole milk to almond milk, you’re cutting those calories down significantly and having a healthier option. Make sure you have a powerful blender (affiliate link) to make sure it has a good consistency with all that ice too!
I like to make this Starbucks Copycat Light Caramel Frappuccino when there is some extra coffee in the pot. No need to waste that last cup, because transforming it into this drink is like a special treat to help you power through your day. Since I’m not a huge coffee drinker, this is another way I can fuel myself up without the typical cup of joe.
