Ingredients
  • 2 chicken breast
  • 1 jar of chili verde salsa
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 roma tomatoes
  • 1 jalapeno
  • 1 onion
  • 2oz chopped cilantro
  • 1 lime
  • 1 avocados
  • 10-12 corn tortillas
Instructions
  1. Cube chicken breast and season with salt and pepper. In a large pan heat oil to medium heat. Add chicken and cook 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Add salsa and bring down to simmer.
  2. For Pico De Gallo chop onions, tomatoes, jalapeno and cilantro. Mix in bowl and add juice of half a lime. Slice avocado and squeeze lime juice on it to keep it from browning.
  3. Warm tortillas in microwave or over stove top fire. Serve tortillas with chili verde chicken, pico de gallo and sliced avocado.

My Chili Verde Chicken Tacos is by far the easiest recipe on my blog. The reason why it’s so simple is that it’s literally only two ingredient; chicken breast and a jar of chili verde salsa. Well at least the cooking part and not counting toppings. Chili Verde Chicken Tacos is one of those recipes that even a non-cook and cook it. All you have to do is cook the chicken breast and add the salsa! I of course made pico de gallo and sliced some avocados to add to my tacos, but you can eat it without it and it would still be delicious. If you don’t like chili verde you can use your favorite salsa too. I’ve done this recipe with a spicy mango salsa as well and it was amazing.
