As a parent I’m always on a mission to get my kids to eat more fruits and vegetables. I love taking them to the grocery store and having them in the kitchen with me because I find the more involved they are the more inclined they are to eat it. It is also important to me for my twin girls to know where their food comes from and grow a greater appreciation of what ends up on their plate. With Miracle-Gro we are able to take it one step further and pick out seeds and watch our food grow. They are in awe to see everyday their tomatoes growing bigger and from green to bright red. It has turn into a game for them to pick the red ones and wash themselves. It is so cute to see how proud they are of their little garden and makes me happy to know that they are getting more fruit and vegetables in their diet. A staple in our house is blending fruits and leafy greens for our morning green smoothies, it’s very hands on because they choose what they want to mix. We love the convenience of picking a few things in our garden and throwing it in our blender. Food should be fun and exciting and that’s exactly what we did with growing our own food and hopefully growing my own future little chefs.
