I wanted to take a take a quick break from posting recipes and show you a day in the life of what I would normally eat. If you like this little change up I will do it every Tuesday for you to follow along and hopefully be inspired to make better choices throughout the day. I don’t count calories anymore, but I did the breakdown just so everyone will get an idea the amount of food that I intake on a regular day. It could be more on days where I am more active, but today was one of those days I contemplated really hard to work out and didn’t follow through.
Breakfast 409 Calories:
Scrambled ¾ cup egg whites (100 calories) with 2 cups spinach (14 calories)
½ cup rolled oats (190 calories) 1 banana (105 calories) with cinnamon
Protein Smoothie 203 Calories:
1 scoop vanilla protein (80), ½ banana (50), 4 frozen strawberries (24), 1 cup almond milk (30) and ½ tbsp. milled flaxseed (19)
Lunch 402 Calories:
1 medium sized roasted beet (22) and 1 cup cauliflower (25) cooked in 1 tbsp. of avocado oil (130)
½ cup cooked wild rice mix (150), ½ can tuna (75), 1 tsp. low sodium soy sauce, 1 tsp. Sriracha hot sauce and a squeeze of lime.
Snack 213 Calories:
1 serving of roasted salted almonds (160)
3oz of shrimp (90) cooked in ½ tbsp. avocado oil (65), ½ cup cooked wild rice mix (150), 2 cups cooked spinach (14)
Total intake today was 1546 Calories
