We did a food tour of Pixar Fest at Disneyland and it was Epic! I could’t get to everything because there was so much to choose from, but what we did eat was amazing. Here’s a list of what we ate and where to find it. Make sure you check out Pixar Fest now until September 3rd.
The Pixar Pier Frosty Parfait can be found at the new Pixar Pier at Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats. It’s lemon soft serve with blue raspberry swirl. I also trued the snow-capped which was a lemon soft served dipped in white chocolate served in a cone. Both were really refreshing and a perfect way to cool down during the day. A must if you visit Pixar Pier.
The Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums located in Pixar Pier. It’s a warm chocolate chip cookie that’s actually quite large and filled with a lot of chocolate. It was super soft which made it just melt in your mouth. We all shared it because it was so big.
Another food inspired by Jack-Jack is the Temperamental Taste-Shifting Corn Dog located at Corn Dog Castle. Jack-Jack is known to shift change depending on his moods and the corn dog has three different layers. It first starts with a hot link, then changes to a pepper jack cheese and lastly a cajun chicken sausage. It comes with a black berry-serrano chili sauce. I thought it was delicious, but might be too spicy for kids. My favorite section was all the cheese.
You can’t go to Disneyland without getting at least one churro, but in my case I got a handful. These are the Galaxy Churros from Señor Buzz Churros in Pixar Pier. It’s coated in galaxy dust. It was good, but not really any different in flavor as the original churros. I would pass if you’re looking for something unique.
The Ants on a Log Churro is in A Bug’s Land. It’s a donut-iced stick covered in cocoa krispies like cereal. It was very crunchy and reminded me of eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal. I liked it, but my girls loved it.
Ok, now we’re talking. This Carrot Cake Churro was hands down my favorite churro I tried. It’s located at the churro cart across from The Haunted Mansion. It’s dusted in orange colored cinnamon sugar and served with warm raisin-carrot cream cheese frosting. My only regret was getting only one. Another must if you get a churro.
Yes, I found a lot of healthy options too! This Nebula Noodle Salad was from Alien Pizza Planet. It has grilled chicken, edamame, sweet green beans, mint, cilantro, red cabbage, carrots and soba noodles in a ginger-lime vinaigrette. I actually really enjoyed it and surprisingly my kids liked it too.
I wasn’t sure about Green Alien Pasta, but it turns out this was my favorite dish I ate during my food tour. It can also be found at Alien Pizza Planet. It has gemelli pasta tossed in a spinach and Miso Pesto with smoky bacon and sweet peas, dusted with Parmesan. The peas really make the dish come together!
Don’t forget dessert when visiting Alien Pizza Planet. This Alien Macaroon was delicious and had a surprise lemon filling. If anything, get it because it’s so gram worthy.
I ordered the Infinity Fizz drink at the Cover Bar just so I can see the reaction from my girls. It is made of Powerade Mountain Berry Blast, apple juice and cherry pearls (popping boba). The cool part is that it comes with dry ice so it causes the pearls to dance and the drink to smoke. The girls loved it so much that I had to order another. I’m pretty sure it tasted good, they liked it more because it was fun. You can also get this at the new Lamp Light Lounge located below the Cove Bar.
We course had to get the Famous Lobster Nachos and Crab and Tuna Roll. My favorite nachos of all time and something we always get when visiting Disneyland. The Crab and Tuna Roll was very fresh and the sauce was amazing. It was a bit on the spicy side, but my daughter was still able to devour it. It’s actually not part of Pixar Fest, but located in the new Pixar Pier. You can get it at either The Cove Bar or Lamplight Lounge.
