Overnight Oats
That’s right, these oats are made overnight…no heat required! Meal prepping overnight oats is also fast and simple. It only takes a couple extra minutes to make five instead of one. The reason why meal prep is so effective with weight loss and maintaining a healthy diet is because you remove temptation. If you already have a meal ready for you, why go looking else where? Also, when you’re busy and hungry you tend to make bad choices because you have no time. I like overnight oats because my busiest time is in the mornings. I just grab a jar of overnight oats from the fridge and eat while catching up on emails. This is probably the most simple recipes I have, yet it’s so filling and perfect for a busy mid-week breakfast; it just requires a little prep the night before. The bast is rolled oats, chia seeds, almond milk, honey and cinnamon. The rest you can get creative so it doesn’t get boring everyday. Sometimes I like it plain just like that, or I add some berries, banana and peanut butter and if I’m feeling a little more indulgent some dark chocolate and shaved coconut. I think the add ons are endless so you can never really get bored of overnight oats.

- 1 cup almond milk
- ½ tbsp. honey
- a dash of cinnamon
- In mason jar or container mix all ingredients.
- Allow the contents to sit overnight in the refrigerator so the oats can soften and chia seeds expand to a gel like consistency.
