Cinnamon Apple French Toast
One thing I can personally guarantee is that I will never have the time to bake bread and to be honest even if I had the time, I much rather take a nap. If you’re going to buy bread my number one choice is Dave’s Killer Bread. I chose the Good Seed bread that has 5g protein, 4g fiber and 700 mg omega-3s per slice. I purchased it at either Costco or Safeway, but you can also go to for a store locator. If it’s not in your area you can also use 100% whole grain bread for your French Toast.

  • 4 slices of Bread
  • ⅔ cup Egg Whites from carton
  • ¼ cup Almond Milk
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • ¼ cup 100% maple syrup
  1. In a medium size bowl, combine egg whites, almond milk and vanilla extract. Whisk everything with fork and dip bread into mixture coating both sides. Heat up griddle or non-stick pan to medium heat. Spray coconut oil and place bread on griddle. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side and sprinkle with cinnamon when fully cooked. I served mine with a scoop of Greek yogurt and fried sliced apples sprinkled with coconut sugar.
